The Career Services department at Prism helps arrange Externships for Medical Assistant students who complete this requirement before graduation. The supervised Externship gives Prism students the advantage of on-the-job type experience at area facilities that may include doctor’s offices, clinics, labs, hospital and medical centers. This transition from program training to profession often turns into job offers for Prism grads.

The Career Services department is serious about helping graduates succeed and our success is measured on how well our graduates do. To prepare graduates for successful career opportunities, help is provided in resume development and mock job interviewing techniques. Career days and fairs offer potential employers a chance to visit Prism and meet with staff, students and graduates. The Career Services Department works hard to establish partnerships with the employment community and provide opportunities for rewarding and long lasting employment.
