Programs and Benefits for Veterans in NJ and PA
Making the transition back to civilian life is different for every veteran, and we’re proud to serve those who are looking to launch a new career. At Prism Career Institute, we’re here to help veterans who are searching for practical nursing and medical assistant programs. With our flexible class schedules, military benefits, and campuses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, it’s easier than ever for veterans like you to get the career training needed to embark on a new, exciting medical career.
Fast, Flexible Programs
Our career-focused programs teach students all of the skills they need to become successful practical nurses (PNs) and medical assistants. Taught by experienced instructors, both of the following programs can help veterans start down successful career paths in the medical field:
Offered at our Cherry Hill and West Atlantic City campuses in New Jersey, students who enroll in this program can develop the clinical and administrative knowledge and collaborative skills needed to become a successful medical assistant. What’s more, students can complete this program in as little as 10 months, making it ideal for veterans who must relocate for permanent change of station (PCS) assignments.
Our Practical Nursing program is offered at our Philadelphia, PA campus. In as little as 15 months, this program prepares students to pass the NCLEX-PN exam and meet all of their State Board of Nursing requirements. Once they complete an external clinical training experience approved by our Career Services Department, program graduates will be fully equipped to make a smooth transition into the healthcare industry.
No matter which program they choose, students can follow either a day or evening class schedule. This flexibility puts students in charge of their success, allowing them to take courses when it’s most beneficial for them.
Financial Benefits
At Prism Career Institute, we are approved to train veterans and their eligible dependents, offering eligible students Veterans’ Educational Benefits as defined by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). To receive this financial aid, veterans must submit an education benefits application to one of our certifying officials before they enroll.
To maintain these benefits, eligible students must maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA and must complete their program within the approved number of hours.
Equal Opportunity Educator
At Prism Career Institute, we endorse an Equal Opportunity Policy, meaning that we do not discriminate based on veteran status or other factors, including gender, race, and more. This policy encompasses all of our programs, including our educational programs and activities, admissions policies, financial aid and loan programs, employment programs, and other school-administered programs.
